Reception desk is open from 8.00am to 6.30pm Monday to Friday. We are not open on Saturdays.

Please note; not all Doctors are available at all times listed.

There are two types of appointments. Urgent and Non-urgent.

URGENT

If the problem is urgent, we will normally arrange for you to be seen by one of the doctors on that day (this particularly applies to children).

Please note: Emergency appointments are allocated strictly in time order and you will not usually be able to select a doctor of your choice.

NON-URGENT

Usually you will not have to wait for more than two working days (depending on demand). However, if you wish to see the doctor of your choice, this may take a little longer (this especially is true during the holiday season - doctors' are entitled to holidays as well!)

APPOINTMENT DURATION

Appointments are normally booked for 10 minutes duration. Some consultations/procedures take longer than 10 minutes e.g. Post-Natal examination, IUCD fitting Dressings, Immunisations. The Doctor/Nurse will advise you if you are to make a longer appointment. Our Receptionist may ask you the nature of your appointment to ensure the correct appointment duration is booked. Please do not present a list of problems to the Doctor that will obviously take longer than one appointment.

HOME VISITS

If, for reasons of ill-health you cannot attend the surgery, you may request that the doctor visit you at home. Please give the receptionist as much information as possible to enable the doctor to prioritise calls and, if possible, ring your request in before 11.00 a.m. Please remember that home visits are very time consuming for the doctors and attendance at the surgery is much preferred. Doctors are not obliged to make a home visit unless the condition of the patient dictates that it is indicated.

TELEPHONE ADVICE

Not all problems require a face to face consultation. All doctors and nurses are available to give advice after their morning surgeries. The receptionist will be happy to take your contact details to enable us to telephone you. This may save you having to attend for an appointment.

WHEN THE SURGERY IS CLOSED(Out of Hours Service)

This is covered by Thamesdoc and operates from 6pm until 8am Monday – Friday and all day Saturdays and Sundays. If you ring the surgery during these times you will hear a voicemail message directing you to them via their telephone number 020 8390 9991.
