Clinics

Asthma Clinic

Asthma Clinics are held on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday afternoons of the month by nurse Anstice Wadia. It is essential that all asthmatics have an annual review even if they do not have any problem. As with all of out chronic disease monitoring clinics, we suggest you have a review in the month of your birthday. This makes it easy to remember!

By appointment only.

Diabetic Clinic

Nurse Sue Millroy holds her Diabetic Clinics on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday afternoons of the month. It is important to have an annual Diabetic check-up particularly as diabetes is a long term condition with multiple possible complications. All diabetics are enrolled in the Surrey Retinal screening programme.

These appointments are longer than a normal appointment so you have time to ask questions and discuss control of your diabetes. Please ensure you advise reception when booking.

Don't forget to bring along your blood sugar reading book!

Hypertension Clinic

Hypertension (High Blood Pressure) Clinics are held every Tuesday and Thursday afternoons by Christine Warner.

We recommend six monthly blood pressure checks even if your BP is well controlled. If your BP is found to be outside of the ideal range you will be advised to return for another check or sometimes a GP appointment.

Epilepsy

Dr Crow likes to see all patients on Epilepsy medication for an annual review.

Most anti epileptic medications require monitoring with a blood test. You should try to request the blood test a week in advance of your review. Please inform the receptionist that your blood test is for drug levels so she can book the correct timing after your dose.

Hormone Replacement Therapy

Women taking HRT need to make an annual review with a doctor. We may decline your request for repeat prescription if you have not had a review.

Contraceptive Pill Checks

Pill checks are done in normal surgery by nurse Sue Millroy. We are happy to issue an emergency supply if you are going to run out while waiting for your appointment. Please ask the receptionist

See Women's Health page

Flu Jab and Pneumonia Jab clinic

The Flu jab clinics are held at intervals from the beginning of October through to December. See Immunisation page for details.

Watch out for news on this site and reminders on repeat prescription order forms.

Smoking Cessation Clinic

Anstice Wadia runs our smoking cessation clinic. This clinic includes counseling, help with choosing medication (if required) and monitoring of your carbon monoxide levels. This is proven to increase your success in quitting smoking.

Minor Surgery

We offer minor surgical procedures in house. Both Dr Matthews and Dr Keating run minor surgery clinics. These are normally held monthly but this varies with demand and holidays. Typically these are performed under a local anaesthetic. If your condition is suitable for our minor surgery we will add your name to the short waiting list and you will be contacted nearer the time. Examples of conditions that we deal with are cysts, ingrowing toe nails, skin lesions e.g. biopsy, foreign bodies and large skin tags. We do not perform cosmetic surgery.

Cryotherapy

All the male GPs perform cryotherapy (freezing with liquid nitrogen). Typical skin lesions suitable for cryotherapy are small skin lesions like tags and keratoses. After consultation with one of the GPs you will be asked to book a cryo clinic appointment.
